Production Blog: Filming
The first day of filming is today. First, we chose clothing that elongates my dad's body. We also aim for a more enigmatic yet tough appearance. We decided on a leather jacket, boots, and black jeans. The camera needed to be set up next. We were set to go after I balanced the camera and inserted it into the gimbal. We commenced the clip by angling the paper downward. After shutting the folder, he takes out a car key. The rollers have not yet been filmed, but after that, we cut to the automobile being parked. It shows the wheel badge stopping. Then the door opens, and a black boot emerges. The scene then shifts to him moving down the corridor while the camera pans around his body at a low angle, hiding his face. After making his way to the mail drop, he inserts a lock pick into the mailbox. Although it is for our residence, this would be against the law. The camera cuts briefly to see him opening it. He will insert the actual key into the box during the cut, but it is not captured on camera. That concluded today's filming for my dad. We cleaned up after ourselves by returning to our other house. I removed the gimbal and cleaned the camera lenses. To prevent contamination, I removed the video clips we shot and transferred them to the computer. We then hung up for the day. Hopefully, tomorrow is when we want to film the rollers.
