Comedy Genre

Researched Films: "Anchorman," "Airplane!"

Now, for a good laugh, you turn to comedy flicks. Cameras here focus on faces, capturing all those hilarious expressions up close. Places are bright and funny, filled with goofy props to make you giggle. Editing is all about timing – quick cuts and funny sequences keep you laughing. The music? Well, it's upbeat and playful, adding to the fun. Movies like "Anchorman" and "Airplane!" are like a non-stop laugh party with clever jokes and perfect timing. It's a whole different world, but man, it's a good time.
Similarities and differences:
Something that I noticed in horror movies vs comedy movies is that there are slow scenes and the cross cutting timing is the exact opposite. I also noticed that over everything else, mystery scenes give so many more face shots and exaggerate facial expressions way more. Comedy movies tend to keep moving at a fast pace to keep the audience entertained.
